Ma passion des arts martiaux chinois et de leurs philosophies m'a amené à m'intéresser à la langue du peuple chinois, le mandarin. L'Automne du cœur a été composée à partir des images évoquées par le caractère chinois 愁 (chóu). L’idéogramme nommant l'automne, 秌 (qiū), est formé par la combinaison des mots céréales 禾 (hé) et feu 火(huǒ). Lorsque l'on ajoute le cœur 心 (xīn) sous l'automne 秌 (qiū) on obtient 愁 (chóu) ou l'automne du cœur. N'est-ce pas une délicieuse image pour décrire la mélancolie?

Let us now move away from from this decidedly warped space and enter a more contemplative mood. My passion for Chinese martial arts and their philosophies led me to investigate Mandarin. L'Automne du Cœur [Heart's Autumn] was composed after having been inspired by the images brought forth by the Chinese chracter 愁 (chóu). Let me explain: The ideogram representing ''autumn,'' 秌 (qiū), is formed by combining the words ''cereals'' 禾 (hé) and ''fire'' 火(huǒ). When we add ''heart,'' 心 (xīn), underneath it we obtain 愁 (chóu) or ''heart's autumn.'' Is that not a delicious way to describe ''melancholy?''

讓我們走出這個怪誕的空間轉移到一個出神的角度。我對中國武術和哲學的熱情使我
普通話感興趣。心秋(L'Automne du cœur)一曲的啟發來自中國漢字愁(chóu)字的不同形像部份。漢字秋(qiū)字由禾字​​(hé)和火（huǒ）字組成。當我們在秋字(qiū)下加上一夥心（xīn），便成愁(chóu)字或心秋。這樣描述憂鬱的意境不是很傳神嗎？
